Direct mode support for CC2650 on SmartRF06 EVB?

Hi,

Is there support for the Bluetooth-specified direct mode on the CC2650? I'd like to connect it up to a R&S CBT test box.

Hello Chris,

CC2650 can be connected to R&S CBT using DTM mode by programming it with HostTest code in the BLE examples folder.

Thanks, SVS and JXS. I think the HostTest code example is what I need -- a dedicated example app. I'll embed the test hooks discussed in the wiki later if needed.

Now on to the next issue -- getting CCS to recognize the debug interface on my RF06 board....

Chris,

Good to hear. The CC26XX and SmartRF06 should work out of the box with CCS 6.1. You can try to check if it is a tool or HW issue by trying to e.g. erase the device using Smart RF Flash Programmer 2.
Also, make sure all 10 jumpers on the "XDS100v3 BYPASS" header row is connected.

Yes, amazingly enough, this board does not work very well with the current measurement jumper removed. :-)

Is there any further documentation for direct mode? In particular I'm looking for the uart configuration, hci/2wire mode, etc.
