I was reading the Adding driver CC2650 TI wiki and I had some questions about the MRDY/SRDY handshaking.

I understand that the External MCU sets the MRDY pin to wake the slave device (CC2650).

Who sets the SRDY line the External MCU or the CC2650? It was not clear in the TI Wiki.

Is the SRDY line set by CC2650 to signal the External MCU that there is new data for it to retrieve?

In the scenario described on the wiki, where the CC2640 is the SPI slave, the CC2640 controls the SRDY line and the external MCU (master) controls the MRDY line.

In that scenario would the CC2640 use the SRDY line to notify the External MCU that there is new Bluetooth data for it retrieve?

That is correct. Although it doesn't necessarily have to be bluetooth data: it could be any SPI / UART data.

That section of the wiki is a little confusing. I'll try to clean it up. I would also recommend looking at the logic captures.
