Hi All,

For our product design , we need low power micro controller which should able to drive 800*480 TFT LCD display and also it should have bluetooth low energy capabilities so it can communicate to smart phone. Kindly suggest good micro controller for this.

If any alternative like by adding additional hardware is also ok, suggest us.

You can try to use AM3358(beagle bone black) to drive 800*480 TFT LCD display) and CC2640 as BLE device. AM335x can connect to CC2640 using UART and HCI command.

HI Chen,

Thanks for your reply, its not possible to use AM3358 because we want to make our product cost less than 20$ .
and also if i use AM3558 no need to use CC2460 since i can use wifi itself to communicate to smart phone.
So kindly suggest only controllers.

AM3558 does not have wifi onboard.

I think It depends on your display and what interface you have to it.
You might be able to get away with only the CC2640+external flash for any graphics you need to display.

I meant say using usb wifi chip set for AM3558 processor.

Anyway is CC2460 supports the graphic engine like encoding and decoding so i can display images on 800x428 size tft LCD.

As I know, there is no graph engine on CC2640. By the way, there is only limited RAM on CC2640 and it is absolutely not enough to display 800x480 LCD.

So kindly suggest any MCU with BLE and Graphical Engine.

I had studied many BLE solutions, e.g. TI, CSR, Broadcom...There is no one has both BLE and graphic Engine on it.
