How much data sending limit for Bluetooth Low Energy?

Hi,i need data sending about 10kb with Bluetooth Low Energy module and my baud rate possibly between 300-115200.Can I use Bluetooth v4.0 Low Energy like CC2540 or CC2541?

This data rate is workable on BLE CC2540/CC2541.

Hi Faith,

If you are using a smart device, the throughput may be lower. However, if you are in a closed system and have programmatic control of both peer devices, then you can configure the system for higher throughput. I would recommend using CC2640 since this device supports a higher ATT_MTU, but you can improve throughput with CC254x with Overlapped Processing.

Thank you for your answer.Yes,i will use a Android Smart Phone with Bluetoth 4.0 or higher version.I want continuously receive data from external and send from a android smart phone over Bluetooth LE.However,the amount of incoming data about 10kb and maximum 115200baudrate

HI Faith,

I suggest prototyping your setup using something like the SerialBridge example: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../SerialBLEbridge
You may also want to consider CC2640, it is able to handle more processing per connection event relative to the CC254x.
