Here are a few questions about the CC2640. Thank you,

1. What is the supply voltage configuration (Internal DCDC, Internal LDO, or External regulator) for the Typical Characteristics (page 22 of the CC2640 datasheet) such as shown in Figures 5-3 and 5-9?

2. I know there are two configurations shown on the graphs, 4XS that’s optimized for size and power, and 5XD that’s optimized for RF performance, so I’d like to get more details on those configurations as well.

3. What is the amplitude of the spike of energy when the radio is turned on? And what is its duration?

4. What are the I/O voltage levels of CC2640?

Hi Taylor,

1. Internal DCDC (Ext. regulator current consumption will be the same as the flat part of the plots for the whole supply voltage range)

4. They are referenced to VDDS. See datasheet for details.

Hello,

The customer has a follow on question regarding the CC2640. He is planning on using the Murata balun (LFB182G45BG5D920) with the CC2640. Please advise on his question below. Thank you.

- What is the maximum reflected power that CC2640 can tolerate (without getting damaged)? I need to know this just in case if for evaluation purposes we have to use a balun that is not exactly optimized for CC2640.

Hi Taylor,

We do not have a limit on maximum reflected power, but the maximum allowable RF input power is 5 dBm. In any practical setup, this will not be an issue.
