Hi,

I'm trying the ADC Data Logger example in Sensor Controller Studio on the cc2650. The AUX Sensor Controller runs on SCLK_HF, which is sourced from either the HF crystal or the HF RC oscillator. What is the current consumption cost of running either of these HF oscillators to run the AUX Sensor Controller?

Also, I'm wondering if calling fwScheduleTask sets the AUX Sensor Controller to sleep thus causing the HF oscillator to turn off in between task executions.

The difference is 1-200 uA but you will typically only run with the HF crystal if the Cortex M3 is awake and has switched to it as system clock. When only the Sensor Controller is running @ 24 Mhz you typically see a current draw of around 700 uA.

Your Sensor Controller tasks will be wrapped in a power management / event handling framework (found in Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\Sensor Controller Studio\fw_templates\framework_template.asm) which puts the Sensor Controller back into sleep (turning off supply system and HF clocks) between task executions.
