Hi,

I have made the circuit of BLE cc 2541 like in datsheet and download the SIMPLE BLE peripheral Program. It detects Bluetooth but Battery is Discharging very rapdidly in 5 mins 1Volt battery is discharged from 3volt to 2 volt. What i can do for this. pl suggest me.

I want to BLE chip detection on my android application. any other program or any changes in program to do. pl suggest me earlier

You can use power supply connecting to your CC2541 module and check the power consumption on it when operation. If you always see current consumption more than 1mA, I think you should check if your IO pins are leaking current.

yes current is showing 1.20ma on multimeter now what shold i do ? to avoid battery discharge.

This sounds that you have current leakage on IO pins. You should check this part.

How i can check this leakage current i have made circuit like cc2541_Breakout_board_schematic. I have directly connects battery to VDD terminal. their are no much IO is used in this PCB

Do you leave unused IO floating? And what IO do you use?

Only p2.3 and p2.4 used for 32.768Khz crystal osscillator .others IO are opened and floating.

Which pins do you use as SCL and SDA? I would suggest you disconnect SCL and SDA from ground and check again.

PIn 2 and 3 is SDA and SCL. Actually on cc2541_Breakout_board_schematic PCB having 1,2,3,4 ground pad on PCB so i it is not possible to discconnect it grounding. for ref pl see the gerber of cc2541_breakout_board.

PIn 2 and 3? Do you mean USB_P and USB_N in cc2541_Breakout_board_schematic? Can you more specific? Which port and which pin?

Yes USB_P and USB_N in cc2540 datasheet ..But in CC2541 datasheet this pin is SDA and SCL. . As in gerber 1,2,34 Pins are grounded. so my ICs pins 1,2,3,4 also grounded

I would suggest you to ask any HW guy nearby to help you check this.

actually whats the problem ? In Gerber file of CC2541_breakout_board having any problem? or i am using that Simple_ble_peripheral program having problem.? or any instruction to be add in program

I don't think there is problem in reference schematic and SimplePerpheral example. However, you see power issue when you put them together and I just try to help. Anyway, I would like to know if CC debugger or SmartRF is connected to your CC2541 when you measure power consumption or testing this?

No, while measuring current no cc debugger is connected to pcb.
