BLE in peripheral role

Hii !!

when we debug the beacon in peripheral mode and abserve it in CRO/Oscilloscope then we can see 7 peaks over there... 3 Tx peaks, 3 Rx peaks and 1 'Receiver window open' peak. So, if i don't need the 3 Tx and 3Rx peaks to be there then what modification in the code of simpleBLEperipheral.c should be done?

Can anyone please help me out !!

I suppose 3 TX/RX are caused by sending advertising in 3 channels. You can change "gapRole_AdvChanMap = GAP_ADVCHAN_37" in peripheral.c to make it only advertising on channel 37 only.

Thank you for the suggestion but can you please explain why am i getting the 7 peaks rather i should be getting only 6 ??

Hello,

Can you review the Measuring BT Smart Power Consumption App Note (www.ti.com/.../swra478) and compare your measurements to the expected results in this App Note?

Also, if you are doing Beaconing (Broadcast Role), you can use the SimpleBLEObserver project which is TX only. See the Bluetooth Smart Beacons App Note on the BLE Wiki as well: www.ti.com/ble-wiki.

I think you misunderstood me. I don't need a Tx peak rather I need only one Rx window open.

Hi Neha,

I guess you just want to listen (Rx).

You can try SimpleBLEObserver Project and check its code.

Thank you for the suggestion. The idea is gud. So, you want to say that i can make the changes in simpleBLEperipheral project according to the code of simpleBLEobserver project ?

I guess you can first check directly with the simpleBLEobserver project, build and flash the code to your beacon. If that is the desired functionality, then you can take the simpleBLEobserver code portions to your simpleBLEperipheral project.

It is just a suggestion. Actual usage depends on you.
