[BLE][CC2640] Maximum Connections Capability Issues

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2640

Dear TI Partners,

We have tried to use parameter as following,

MAX_NUM_BLE_CONNS=8
HEAPMGR_SIZE=9608
Enable HEAPMGR_METRICS

It seem could connected 7 devices, but it is not stable. Sometimes, it will be disconnection.

We have found the same device it connected twice with another handle, abnormal disconnection and scan result has connection devices.

It looks like has something problem in that.

In this case, the chip memory has used 99% (17286 bytes).

If we want to porting other function it cannot workable.

Do you have any idea about workaround or overcome for  Memory and Max Connections?

Many Thanks for your help!

  • Hello Kenny,

    What connection interval are you using? Can you increase the interval to see if that improves stability? Although the CC2640 can connect to up to 8 devices, the amount of RAM used will increase based on the Host use cases (e.g. GATT Server).

    Best wishes
  • Hi JXS,

    Many Thanks for your response.

    We actually used many BLE Devices for check Max Connections.

    The Connection Interval is different each BLE Devices.

    As you mentioned CC2640 can supported to up to 8 BLE Devices.

    Would kindly share what condition could meet that?

    We want to following the configure as you provided if you can.

    Many Thanks for your help!

  • Hi JXS,
