hi,

I have downloaded "BLE-CC254x-1.4" projects.

In order to compile those projects IAR embedded workbench is mandatory?

my trial period is over for IAR embedded work bench. is there any other way to compile the projects?

If you are using BLE-CC254x projects then IAR Embedded Workbench for 8051 seems to be the only choice. IAR has only 30-days trial period, but you can try to use it one more time by this way.

Every IAR download links have this format: supp.iar.com/.../SW, where XXX is the version number. For example, if you want to download 8.1 version, then XXX = 810 and the link becomes supp.iar.com/.../SW. I have tried to download different versions including 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3 (this way does not work for the newest version 9.1).
Version 8.1 might be too old for BLE projects from TI, I think you can start from 8.2.

Using the CC254X series IAR is unfortunately the only option. For the CC2640 we do also support CCS which comes with a free license when purchasing one of our debuggers. See the following link for more information: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC13xx_CC26xx_Tools_Overview
