CC2541 Cannot observe the advertising of the BLE on the phone

I want to make the phone be the peripheral, the CC2541 be the central. now I have had a phone with android 5.0 and bluetooth 4.0. so the phone can advertsing, but i tested and found that the CC2541 can not scan the advertsing. why? the different ble device cannot be compatible? but i tested that the iphone can scan the ble advertsing of my android phone. thank you !

Hi,

You can take air sniffer logs to confirm that the Android Phone is sending advertising packets.

Also, you can try to enable the Android Phone to advertise, simultaneously check in iPhone if it detects the advertising packets from Android Phone and also capture the air sniffer logs to confirm that the CC2541 is not able to receive the advertising packets.

You can refer to the BLESimpleObserver Project to check that you get the GAP_DEVICE_DISCOVERY_EVENT.

The "simple" projects will filter out devices that don't advertise the "simpleGATTprofile" service. you can turn this off by setting DEFAULT_DEV_DISC_BY_SVC_UUID to FALSE.
