GYRO Data is not available for cc2650

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2650, CC2640

I have download the SensorTag App for IOS and i can not get the GYRO data displayed , i tried two SensorTags and the same results also the Manetometer data is not available

  • Hello,

Which iOS app version & SensorTag firmware are you using? It might be helpful to update the FW to the latest version in the iOS app.
Also, some sensors require higher batt voltage, so it would be good to confirm you have a fresh CR2032 battery.

    Best wishes
  • This is a brand new cc2650 SensorTag 2 .

    I have 5 SensorTags .

The Firmware version Is 15 Feb .  Can you post the Links for both the Latest firmware and also the source code for the SensorTag firmware that includes  manometer

As the current BLE stack does not have them .

  • Hello,

The 15-Feb firmware is pre-production, In ver 4.2 of the SensorTag iOS app, you can update to the latest fw via over the air download. The app should detect that the fw is out of date and prompt for an update.

You can also build the fw from the BLE Stack SDK v2.0, then download via the CC-DevPack-Debugger (XDS110). There is a pre-built fw in the BLE Stack SDK under "Accessories/HexFiles" path, "CC2640_SmartRF_SensorTag.hex".

  • Thanks for the prompt reply .
How can I get the source code for the Latest Firmware ?. I am I a middle of prototype and also new to CCS .

So it would safe me lots of time to modify the source instead of adding the support for missing sensors .
  • I Flashed the SensorTag using DevPack with the firmware located in

    C:\ti\simplelink\ble_cc26xx_2_00_00_42893\Projects\ble\SensorTag\CC26xx\CCS

But still can not read Gyro , magent , Accelometer data .

Please this is really critical for me to get this details .

    Regards

  • Hello,

What is your iOS SensorTag App version?
Also, can you try flashing the aforementioned pre-compiled hex?

I updated my SensorTag to fw ver 1.01 and can read the mag/gyro movement data with iOS app v4.20.

    Best wishes
  • Hello,

If you use iOS app version 4.20, then the movement data won't update until you OTA the SensorTag firmware to v1.12. Please select under "FW Download".

    Sorry for the confusion.

    Best wishes
