External sensor with C2540 issue with Power Supply

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to connect an external sensor to the keyfob of CC2540 and was wondering how I could get access to the power supply on the keyfob. I want the CR2032 battery on the keyfob to power the sensor as welll.

You can refer to keyfob schematic and get VDD from debug port pin9.

I agree with YK, please review the reference schematics, which are available for all BLE reference kits.

Thank you for the insights. How do I go about the wiring though? Because I need those pins for debugging. Is there a piece of external hardware that can make it possible to use the pin for power supply as well as for debugging?

It is easy to smolder lines from the base of debug pin to give your sensor power and GND.

Thank you. I was also wondering if it is possible to use something like MDL-ADA2 ( store.ti.com/MDL-ADA2-10-pin-to-20-pin-JTAG-Adapter-Module-P1913.aspx ).
