Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2564

Hi,

Please tell us about the CC2564.

We have the following in the data sheet (SWRS121D) 4.1.3.2.1 "Current Consumption for Different Bluetooth BR / EDR Scenarios".

"Page or inquiry scan 1.28 seconds, 11.25 ms"

When you turn the CC2564, with or without BT connection,
The peak of the current value can be checked for each 1.28msec.

【Question】

1. Can you stop by software processing of Inquiry Scan / page Scan?

2. This peak current is confirmed even in the case of the power-saving mode (sniff mode, hold mode).

Peak current of the power saving mode even if is due inquiry scan / page scan processing?

Best Regards,

  • Hamada,

Yes, Inquiry Scan and Page Scan can be turned on and off. It is up to the user application to do so.

Regarding the last question, I did not understand. Could you clarify please?

    Regards,

    ~Miguel

    Thank you.

Could you tell me if you can stop the inquiry scan and page at any command?

    I am sorry.

When you turn the CC2564, with or without BT connection,
The peak of the current value can be checked for each 1.28msec.

Regardless of the power-saving mode (sniff mode, hold mode),
If you were the operation of inquruiry scan / page, do you peak current flows for each 1.28msec?

    Best Regards,
  • Hamada,

Yes, the inquiry scan and page scan can be stopped at any time. It is up to the user application to do so.

Regarding your second question, it might be that you are observing the current related to the page/inquiry scan activities. I would recommend checking your user application which might be enabling this activity during initialization.

    OK.

Please have it whether teaching stop using any command.

(I believe that the stop and send a command from the user application)
