BTool inconsistent behavior

Hi,

Until recently I've used BTool that came with BLE Stack 1.4.0 (BTool 1.40.5) Everything worked fine.

I now upgraded BTool to the one that comes with BLE stack 1.4.1.43908 (BTool ver 1.40.15).

The USB BLE dongle was also updated to CC2540_USBdongle_HostTestRelease_All.hex from BLE Stack 1.4.1

Now I can not communicate with my BLE peripheral like iI used before.

There is a Char write that failes in the BTool 1.40.15 while if works fine with BTool 1.40.5.

Can someone tell what's going on ???

One thing I did notice is that the connection handle received upon connection is different:

- 0x0001 at BTool 1.40.5

- 0x0000 at BTool 1.40.15

Hello,

This looks like an issue with BTool trying to use Prepare Write instead of Write Request. Can you try the GATT Write on the "Adv. Commands" tab, under "GATT"? Near as I can tell, you are writing 20 bytes, so this should fit in the ATT_MTU-3 size requirement for GATT Write Request.

you've got it right...

using 'GATT write' from 'Adv. commands' does the job.

When do you expect this bug to be corrected ?
