I have a customer using the LMX9838SB in the default SPP configuration. Thier test department was evaluating the Windows 10 pre-release and discovered the device could be paired, but function normally. The engineers have looked at it and the COM port could not be opened.
This has been repeated with several different Bluetooth host platforms ( PC's).
Has there been any testing done on the Windows 10 Bluetooth driver stack using the chip in SPP mode. I am not sure what, if anything, the Bluetooth module has to do with it but I am looking at all avenues.
They really want to avoid having to write our own Bluetooth driver. This has never been an issue with Windows 7 or 8.
Thanks
