Hi,
Could someone confirm if LMX9838 dongle works with native Windows 10 Bluetooth stack? (without any third party OS components).
I am using Windows 10 Pro on a desktop PC with a SMK-link bluetooth usb dongle (or other dongles from other vendors) as host and a TI LMX9838 dongle as bluetooth device.
After entering the pin, It pairs successfully and Incoming and Outgoing COM ports are shown on Windows 10 but when I actually try to open the virtual COM port using Realterm, a "Apro exception" window pops up and fails to communicate to the port.
I also tried to open the COM port in my application directly using Windows CreateFile API but this function returns (-1) instead of returning a valid handle to the COM port. the exact same procedure and works fine on Windows7.
That said, if I install driver and app from link:
www.manhattan-products.com/bluetooth-micro-adapter2
Then everything works. It seems this replaces Windows10 components that handle bluetooth virtual COM ports.
Thanks,
