hidDevConnSecure = FALSE in HIDEmuKbd can't send a report

I debbug now the HIDEmuKbd with CC2640 and try to send a key press report. I use the BLE monitor and make a connection. I get the GAPROLE_CONNECTED sign but when I try to send the report I fail on if (hidDevConnSecure) when it is FALSE.

How can I make the connection secure?

Hi,

You can't make the connection secure using the BLE Device Monitor. You can do this using BTool by going to the advanced pane, finding Gap -> gap authenticate and using that.

Alternatively you can remove the check for whether the connection is secure from the HIDEmuKbd application.

Can I get a Simple GATT Profile Characteristic Table show all the parameters of teh HID using the BTool?

Yes, you can right click in the left side pane, there you see a connHandle after you've connected. If you right click on the conn handle 0x0000 you can choose to discover the GATT table.
