Hi,

Is the TI Bluetooth SDK supported on the CCSv6 linux host? If not is it easy to port?

Hi Gautam,

It is not supported. I am not really sure about the complexity involved.
I just did a successful build of the SPPDemo MSP430 app without any issue on my Linux setup (did not try to run it).

I am using TM4C development board. Have you run the SPP demo on CCSv6?

Hi Gautam,

Like I've mentioned, TI Bluetooth stack on CCSv6 + Linux is not supported.

I downloaded latest CCSv5 and tried to import SPPDemo TIRTOS and I get "Error:Import failed for project 'SPPDemo' because its meta-data cannot be interpreted". How can I fix this?

Hi,

1. Can you specify the exact CCS version? "5.5.0" was what was used for the sample applications.
2. Have you also installed the MSPWare?

I tried with the latest CCS v5.5.0 and I get the above error.
I don't need MSPWare. I am developing for Tiva. So I have ti-rtos and TivaWare.

I tried with CCSv6 on Windows 8.1 and got the code working. There was a lot of work involved in changing different paths including buildscripts.

TI needs to make these source code easy to build and user friendly. There is so much of problems between different versions and hard coding of paths etc. Now I have to try on linux and dreading the amount of work which will go in there.

Can you please give more details about the problems that you faced w.r.t "hard coded paths" & "changing different paths" so we could improve it?
