A3DP SendRemoteControlCommand(rcVolumeUp)

I am running the A3DP demo on the MSP-EXP430F5438 + PAN1323ETU kit. I have connected to an android phone (Samsung galaxy S4) and it the play,pause,next,prev AVCRP command work fine, but the Volume up/Volume down commands seem to not work. According to the message on serial terminal, the commands do get sent to the phone, but the phone doesn't respond by changing volume. Also, where is the best place to look for supported profiles/ accepted commands for android (I have been looking at android developers site with no luck ).Thank you for your help.

Hi,

Can you tell me which command/api you are using to send the vol up/down to the Android phone?

Hi Gigi,

I am using the following AVCRP Passthrough command operation IDs

AVRCP_PASS_THROUGH_ID_VOLUME_UP (0x41)
AVRCP_PASS_THROUGH_ID_VOLUME_DOWN (0x42)

Hi Darius,

If you can enable snoop logs on Android, and confirm the VolUp/Down commands are reaching there, then I suggest that you post this query on some Android forums. Because I think the problem is there on Android then.

Hi Gigi,

You are correct. Android does receive the volume commands but seems to not act on them. Please see attached and let me know if you see anything wrong. Do you have a preferred/suggested Android forum ? I have posted several places with no response and can't find any info online regarding this matter.
