Is there a way or a starting point for doing packet sniffing with the CC2640?

I should be more specific. I would like to write code to do this on the CC2640. The end goal would be making a simple packet sniffer to use with our dev boards.

This is not possible using the TI BLE Stack: you would have to write your own code directly interfacing with the radio. This isn't easy but all the necessary information can be found in the TRM: http://www.ti.com/lit/SWCU117
