GATT_Notification() goto exit.c used by NPI_task

Hello,

I created a new task followed by CC2640 NPI UART ECHO EXAMPLE .

My NPI_task calls GATT_Notification() directly after registers with ICall by ICall_registerApp(&selfEntity, &sem).

When the program runs into ICall_getLocalMsgEntityId() of GATT_Notification(), it will goto exit.c.

How can i solve this problem?

Can anyone suggest me? Thanks a lot.

Hello,

In the echo example, the NPI task is not made to be "ICall aware". I suggest taking a look at the processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Cc2640_Adding_a_UART_or_SPI_driver_to_a_Sample_Project example. The project settings have been updated to allow the NPI task to register with ICall.

Hi JXS,

NPI task receives data from MSP430, then it put data into GATT table and notify to master in my scenario.

So i must to use NPI task to do that task, not in Application task.

I have already register with ICall by ICall_registerApp(), why it dosen't work?

I think it should be "ICall aware".

You could still accomplish this in the application task by storing the data in a global variable and posting an event to the application task so that it sends the notification. This is the recommended solution.

Note that the NPI task is not designed to interface with ICall or the stack so this may bring about other problems.

As for your actual problem, you should check the ICALL_MAX_NUM_ENTITIES and ICALL_MAX_NUM_TASKS preprocessor definitions in the application project. You may need to increase these. You may also need to increase the OSAL_MAX_NUM_PROXY_TASKS in the stack project.

In any case, putting a break point in ICall_abort() should find your problem.
