Hi,

I am using Cc2640 for my project.Does this require any voltage regulator ?

Regulator is not mandatory for CC2640.

That depends on your input/system voltage. A lot of CC26xx based designs use a coin cell (3V) and in this case you don't need regulation. If you power your system with a LiPo cell, that has a max voltage of 4.2V at full charge, you would need a regulator or DC/DC step down converter. The CC26xx datasheets will tell you the min and max input voltage.

If you are to use an external regulator with the CC26xx, I recommend the TPS62740 as we use in our external regulator mode reference design, . This is tested and known to work well with the CC26xx, an appnote with more test results will be available shortly.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.I am using Lipo cell which has a maximum output voltage of 3.7V. So i think its better to use external regulator.
