Disabling Legacy function in SPPLE demo

Customer is asking why disabling BR/EDR is not possible.

As far as customer understood, CC2564 supports dual mode.
This means it supports;
- Both BR/EDR and LE
- BR/EDR only
- LE only

Is this correct ?

According to the link you provided, it is not possible to disable BR/EDR.
But it also said;
“As long as you don’t trigger a BLE operation or BT operation, those modules remain off.”
This implies triggering a BLE only (and keeping BT off) to save power is still possible, correct ?

And I expect “SetDiscoverabilityMode 0” command disables BT operation triggered by remote device.
Am I correct ?

Hi Gigi,

I tried “SetCBDiscoverabilitymode 0” and found the device was not show up in inquiry list as expected.
But monitoring VDD_IN current shows periodical activity (~7mA current once in 1sec).

After applying “SetCBConnectabilitymode 0”, the current is less than 0.04mA.
So I think something is working if connectability mode is “Connectable”.

I guess CB connectability mode also should be "Non Connectable" to completely off legacy BT.
Is this correct observation ?
