Controlling Advertisement on connection termination

Hello,

We are using Key-fob (CC2541) with thermometer project.
Whenever connection gets terminated due to any reason key-fob starts advertising, but we want it to advertises only when connection terminates due to supervision timeout and it should not advertises due to other reason of connection termination, which could be : Peer requested or host requested.

Please help us to accomplish this.

I hope I made my point clear, If I didn't please let me know.

You can manipulate advertising by using API "VOID GAP_SetParamValue( TGAP_LIM_ADV_TIMEOUT, time(sec));" to change advertising time.

Thanks for your reply.

I want to stop advertisement on connection termination, in case connection is terminated by host(Server ) or Peer(Client), and it should advertise only if connection is terminated by supervision timeout.

In BLE stack it is implemented as the connection terminates it starts advertisement, whatever may be the reason for connection termination.

How to change this scenario?

You can use the following code.

GAPRole_SetParameter(GAPROLE_ADV_NONCONN_ENABLED, sizeof(uint8), &advertEnabled);
