CC2540 Startup power consumption

Hi

I've gone through the datasheet but I can't seem to find a figure for the power consumed during the booting up of the chip. The current measurement I have gives up to 50mA. Is 75mW for 0.5ms in the right ballpark?

Thanks

  • This is as far as I know not a part of the device characterization. However I can give you some approximate numbers.
When the device boots the highest current peaks will be during charging of the VDDR (10uF) and DCOUPL(1uF) capacitors.
This charging is current limited to approx. 20-25mA and will last for T= C*V / I, where C is the capacitor, V is the voltage (1.7V and 1.28V), I is worst case 25mA.
