BLE signal quality evaluation by host

Does the CC256x have any vendor-specific HCI commands to get any metrics for the quality of a BLE connection? The CC254x had 0xFC14, HCI Extension Packet Error Rate "This command is used to Reset or Read the Packet Error Rate counters for a connection."

Also, does the CC256x VS HCI Command 0xFDFC "Read RSSI" apply to BLE connections as well as BT classic?

    Hi Chas,

    No, we don't have any VS HCI command like the one in the CC254x device.

    I am not sure if the HCI_VS_Read_RSSI (0xFDFC) would work for a BLE connection, I think it should. I am checking internally and come back to you. In the meantime, you could try it out and see if you are getting reasonable numbers.
