CC2650 STK SPI EXT FLASH, How to make it work?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2650STK

Hi,

I am interested in using the Ext Flash on the CC2650STK to save some sensor data, but I am facing some problems.

I am using the last version for the CC2650STK software published end of june 2015

To debug the spi ext flash, I am removing the DevPack and running the STK using a button battery. Using global variables, I am posting messages to the bluetooth and getting the values on my phone. (this was tested and works)

Now I am trying to use the ext_flash.h commands (APIs).
When I try to run extFlashTest  command, it is returning a zero (false). This is happening if I run this command from the sensortag.c from SensorTag_init() command or after bluetooth connection from SensorTagMov_processSensorEvent() command.

I went further and discovered that the extFlashTest command is returning a false becauseof this :

hFlashPin = PIN_open(&pinState, BoardFlashPinTable);

if (hFlashPin == NULL)
{
return false;
}

for some reason, the hFlashPin remains null after the pin_open command.

And I noticed the same happening when     selfTestMap = sensorTestExecute(ST_TEST_MAP);   is running.

Does the ext flash api work? is it possible to use it anywhere at the current moment? Is there anything I am doing wrong?

Please help me as I am out of ideas, (and almost out of patience!!!)
