CC2541 Current consumption when connection established

Does anyone know if CC2541 has a different current consumption when a connection with another device is established? Suppose it's a slave device, after establishing a connection, the packets will be directed rather than broadcasted. Will this affect the current consumption?

Hi John,

The current consumption will typically be lower, but it does of course depend on your configuration. When broadcasting you typically transmit on all three advertising channels and you do it quite frequently. When in a connection, you only transmit on a single channel on each connection event, and the connection intervals are typically longer than the advertise intervals.
