cc2650stk disable sleep mode and change transmission time parameters

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2650STK, CC2640

Hi TI experts,

i would like to know if anyone already tried to disable the sleep mode on the CC2650STK.

I want to use it as a indoor/outdoor thermometer (i will link it to an external 2xAA Battery pack to make it live longer) and it should always couple/transmit on request to an Ipad. Additionaly i would like to change the transmission times so that i get a signal only every minute (imho that should be accurate enough for temperature control).

i am waiting for my recently ordered CC-DEVPACK-DEBUG and would be very happy if you have a hint/solution for my challenge!

Thanks in advance!

  • Hello,

I would not recommend disabling power savings based on your intended application as there's no reason to do so. However, I do recommend you begin with the Getting Started resources in the sticky CC2640 FAQ thread, including the SW Developer's Guide (SWRU393), SimpleLink Academy & the SensorTag User's Guide found on the BLE Wiki. After reviewing this material in detail, you should then have the know how to implement this design. Please let us know how it goes!

    Best wishes
  • Thanks for the answer, i will try that and let you know about my success! ;-)

    Cheers,
