HCI Tester Tool scope

Hi.

I have the following question while I thought to use BLE HCI Tester Tool in our BLE device testing:

Does BLE HCI Tester Tool be used only for Single Processor mode HCI or even for Network processor mode based HCI testing?

Please clarify.

The dongle is programmed with BLE network processor image(HostTest) and please take a look at the following link of HCI tester wiki page.

How is this HCI Tester tool different from BTool in perform HCI commands related testing?

You can make script by using HCI tester, not with Btool.

Hi,

Please clarify on the following queries:

1. How could we use HCI Tester tool to test the HCI interface internal to BLE Peripheral by communicating with the BLE Client connected to the HCI Tester tool?
Is there any different strategy to be followed to test the HCI interface internal to BLE Peripheral?

2. Is there any ready made scripts to use with HCI Tester Tool in order to test the BLE Client's HCI and BLE Peripheral's HCI ?

3. What are the HCI commands that the HCI Tester Tool support? will it support both the TI BLE specific as well as the Vendor specific commands?

4. Is there any limitations in testing the HCI commands using HCI Tester Tool?
