clock drift on cc2640/cc2650

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2640

Hi,

Dose anyone know clock drift per second at CC26XX?

I only see "Crystal frequency tolerance : 500 ppm ~ -500 ppm" at http://www.ti.com/.../specifications#SWRS1587347

Dose that means the clock drift is 500 us per second?

  • +/- 500 ppm is the worst case clock accuracy requirement dictated by the BLE spec. Typically crystals with tolerance around +/-40 ppm are used, which means that the worst case (typical) clock drift will be 40 us per second.

Note that it is the crystal and not the CC2640 which sets the clock drift tolerance.
