Regarding CC2640 Crystal Requirement

We cannot recommend using a crystal that does not meet the datasheet specifications unfortunately, and using a crystal outside the spec will be on your own risk and not something we support. If the ESR is too high, it can lead to unreliable operation, you risk that the crystal will not oscillate and it will make the start-up time longer. Our excellent designers have written an application report explaining all the different crystal parameters that I highly recommend that you take a look at, www.ti.com/.../swra495a.pdf

Have you looked on our wiki with recommended crystals, processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC26xx_Crystals, this gives some suggestions with crystals from NDK with package size 2016?

The recommended crystal of NDK i.e NX2016SA by TI as per the sheet whose link is following :

also have 80 ohm resistance at 24 Mhz.
this you can verify by the datasheet of NX2016SA crystal

Can you please comment on this ASAP.

It is true that the general NX2016SA datasheet says that this crystal has ESRmax= 80 ohm for 24 MHz. However, the specific crystal part numbers listed has been customized by NDK to have ESRmax = 60 ohm.
