CC2541 SRRC/CCC Certification

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2541

Hi,

We are using the cc2541 in our product and have followed the reference design CC2541EM and guidance in "how to certify you bluetooth product" processors.wiki.ti.com/.../How_to_Certify_your_Bluetooth_product

- so far so good for distribution in Europe and North America.

We now have a Chinese distributor and we are being asked for SRRC/CCC documentation for the reference design (Chinese equivalent of FCC), and I cannot find any information on this.  Have TI certified this reference design for sale in China? If so, is this documentation available anywhere?

Thanks.

David

  • Hi David,

We have not done Chinese certification for our evaluation boards. You have to reach out to a certified test house to perform these measurements on your HW.

    Cheers,

    Fredrik

  • Thanks for your help Fredrik. Not the news I was hoping for, but hey. Now I just need to figure out how to hastily implement test mode...
  • Hello David,

Even if you use the CC2541EM reference design in your product, you will still be required to complete regulatory testing regardless of your locale. The information provided on the aforementioned wiki provides details on the necessary steps to perform the required testing. When the reference design is followed, you will not have any issues passing the regulatory tests.

If needed, you can find a list of 3rd party module vendors that may have pre-certified solutions.

    Best wishes
