BHET: Cannot load CC2564B BT 4.0 SP into the EM

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2564

Hello,

I'm trying to look at the RF output signal from CC2564xQFN-EM rev 1.2 in BT testing mode. To do this, I have:

- installed CCS6.1.2.00015_win32,

- installed FET-Pro430 Lite v.3.4, successfully programmed C:\ti\Connectivity\CC256X BT\CC256x Bluetooth Hardware Evaluation Tool\v1.0\TI Transparent MSP430 PAN1323ETU\MSP-EXP\Binary\F5438Exp_PAN1315ETU.hex into the 430 chip, and I have now COM25 port named "MSP-EXP430F5438 USB - Serial Port" in DM,

- installed jre-7u7 win32, set bin PATH for it and installed CC256x_Bluetooth_Hardware_Evaluation_Tool_V1.0_Setup.exe,

- downloaded git.ti.com/.../TIInit_6.7.16_bt_spec_4.0.bts  from this page: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC256x_Downloads ,

and now am trying to upload SP to CC2564. At this stage I succeed to open the port and start uploading SP, but immediately get bad response error messages from the chip:

Those error messages continue all across the uploading session as I can guess - there are plenty of them, unfortunately I didn't find the way to save this log to attach it. The pins of the 430 board are configured as follows:

(Mini-USB cable is plugged in up there and connected to the PC.)

So, what am I missing here, any ideas? Is there any simple way to check if CC2564B is answering any simple commands at all?

NB: earlier, I mistakenly programmed into 430 the .hex file from EZ430, and then my COM25 though was visible, still timed out in BHET at the upload attempt. This time there is obviously some progress - it already answers something, but...

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you,

Vladimir Pavlenko
