CC2640: Unbricking device after false flash programming

Sorry for not reading it thoroughly. Do you know what your ccfg configuration is?

When killing the device, I downloaded this hex file:

/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/538/BimAndCCFG.hex.txt

It contains BIM code and the ccfg. The ccfg comes from this file:

/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/538/ccfgSpecial.c

I downloaded it using the Flash Programmer 2 tool and unfortunately had the "Erase all unprotected pages" check enabled.

Looking at the ccfgSpecial.c and BimSpecial.hex you provided, the device should not be locked. You CCFG file has the WUC_TAB enabled (and erase is not ignored during boot), which means you should be able to issue a "mass erase" from the "Tools" menu in SmartRF Flash Programmer 2.

I need to ask you to verify your physical connection; TCK, TMS, RESET_N, GND. Are all of the signals connected?

Error -230 is known to indicate

• TCK is not connected (not connected, tied to GND or tied to V_Tref)
• Device is held in reset (RESET_N low)
• TMS floating or tied to V_Tref.

Yes. If I connect a different device, everythings works just fine. Would that be possible, if there are any hw issues?

This is the connection to JTAG. the X2 connector goes straight to the XDS100v2 programmer.

At this moment, I have 15 devices here: 10 work without any problems, 5 are in this "bricked" state. 4 of them, I can't remember what I did to bring them into this state, one of the bricked ones I downloaded the attached hex file only, deleting all other pages. What happens, if you do this with one of your devices? Are you still able to flash it?

You say XDS100v2. Did you mean XDS100v3?

XDS100v2 does not officially support the CC13x0/CC26x0 devices.

I suspect the problem is that XDS100v2 does not support "halt-in-boot (aka. "board reset"). This reset halts the device in boot, before it reaches flash code. If you have an XDS100v3 (or any of the other XDS emulators listed here), please try connecting to your device using that.
