Noise in CVSD mode when no output from PCM

Hello,

We use CC2564B in our product phone with BT stack2.1 of alpwise, when we use handset with cvsd mode , we find that during we dial out, there will be noice after we play dial tone, the noise doesn't exist only seldom times. It happens when we pick up handset, audio will play dial tone through PCM, and when we proess key board, audio will stop play dial tone. After audio stops, there should have no sound, but we do hear noice from the handset and also catched that through air sniffer log.

I wonder whether it is for cvsd mode set in BT script which cause this problem, and if we set handset to MSBC mode, no noise all the time.

Would you tell how to solve this problem?

Gao Hong

  • Hi,

I see that you've only attached the wav files.
Can you please attach the full air sniffer logs for both the cases?

  • Hello,
Our audio expert checked with the .wav files and confirmed it is related to DC which is cvsd codec problem.

We use TIInit_6.7.16_bt_spec_4.1 and avpr add-on script form your website. Do you have any update concerning voice quality after that?

I wonder whether there is problem when initiate with MSBC and CVSD together, do you have any script with only CVSD mode so that I can test whether there is still problem?
    Thanks.

  • Use headset, the case is very worse, and the wave file is attached.
