CC2640 Bluetooth Certification

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2640

I'm looking for a bit of assistance completing a Bluetooth certification on a product using the CC2640.  With the CC25 series parts, the process seemed much simpler; just enter the QD IDs, send the SIG some money, and it was done.  However with the component QDIDs on the CC2640, there seems to be a testing process involved.

I've gone through the processes described on the TI and SIG website and:

  • Created a Project, associating the QD IDs listed on the TI site
  • Completed the Declaration summary
  • Edited Core ICS
  • Edited Profile ICS
  • Run (and passed the consistency check)
  • Created a Test Plan

When I go to download the Test plan, it comes in as an Excel file (.xlsx).

Next, I plugged the $99 dongle into my PC and fire up the BT SIGs PTS software.  I've stepped through the process to create a new workspace and associated it with the particular device ID I intend to test.  PTS then wants me to "Import ICS from TPG"....  and that's where it gets sticky.  The file format they are asking for is a .pts file - but the only format I can get from the TPG seems to be .xlsx.

What am I missing here?
