Hi,

I am using the BLE stack 2.1.1 on two cc2650 EVMs (connected on to the SMARTRF06 base boards).

I am straight away using simple BLE central on one EVM. And simple BLE peripheral on another.

(steps : download app, then stack and then app again in IAR)

They both power up fine.

On the central side, when i start discovery and select the other device's address intended for connection, i am facing 2 issues:

1. Either there is an immediate disconnection due to reason 62. OR

2. They both get connected, but within few seconds, there is disconnection with reason 8.

Can anyone please help on this?

I have not made any modifications to the code. Its directly taken from the 2.1.1 example projects.

Hi,

Can you try to use your phone to connect to the peripheral device and see if you lost connection immediately?

Hi Christin,

I have an android phone.
When you say connect to the peripheral device, do you mean directly connecting (by turning ON bluetooth in mobile and pairing to this peripheral device) OR do you mean by using some mobile APP?
If APP, then can you suggest one?

What i did was:
I turned ON bluetooth on mobile.
Paired with the peripheral device
But within 15s, the connection got lost.

You can download BLEscanner to your phone and use the app to connect to device with SBP programmed.

As you suggested, i downloaded the BLEscanner app and tried to connect the SBP.
Similar behavior here as well.
The SBP gets connected to the mobile.
Within 15s after connection, it goes back to advertising mode!

I also did a TX/RX test using the SMARTRF studio. I am not seeing any problem there.
(100 packets sent and received, with avg RSSI of -50)

Not sure, where the problem is.

can you show us the picture of your setup? Are you using 7x7EMs?

Hi Christin,

An update:
I was trying out various options and finally,
I just loaded the stack project first and then the App project and things started to work!

(Previously i was loading App first - > stack next -> again App at the end, this is how it was mentioned in the guide, quite misleading)

Note that your power source selector on the right hand SmartRF06EBK is set to BAT (battery) while the left one is set to USB. Are you powering the right side board with a battery?
