BT/EDR CI Performance (RCV03) of CC2564B

Dear support persons,

We have customer project with CC2564B chip and last week we got the second build from production. All ATE measurement cases was in the specification limits except CI Performance of BT classic and EDR. It Fails always when interfering signal is 2 MHz below the wanted channel. Fail not depend of used channel.

We measured this also manually and got the same results.

Below chart of test results.

Have you any idea what is the root cause of this behaviour? Is it possible to tune RX-filter in the chip by the code?

Ok, I put attachment now in picture format.

Yesterday later evening, I was thinking about those BT blocking limits. Is it so that this CC2564B have -1MHz image frequency, which causes use of BT specification limit relaxations (limit is lower on image frequency)? As you see in my picture, performance of measured chip is ok, if the -2MHz limit is only -40dBm (Delta 20 dB) or less. Without mirror frequency relaxation the limit is -30dB, which is too high for our product performance.

Hi Joseph,

I happy if I can get your confirmation to the use of lower limits, which you have in data sheet. Is that -40dBm level caused by image frequency? Or by something other reason?

Hi ,

For adjacent (2 MHz) interference, C/I 2MHz pass ratio is -30 dB

for the adjacent (1 MHz) interference to in-band mirror frequency, C/I Image ± 1MHz (-2MHz) pass ratio is -20 dB
