Hi, we implemented a BMA250E sensor on our PCB, wrote FW for it ... we get all the data we want. We are trying to compare this sensor (using shock events) with a professional one, to validate the accuracy of the g-values it provides.
And here is the problem, we get good results for +x / +y / +z axis values. But the performance of -x / -y / -z values (sensor upside down) is by far worse. In some g-ranges the sensor "misses" the maximum g-force value in 50% of cases. That is using the Any Motion / Slope mode detection.
Since in normal axis position (+x) works perfectly I think our layout and settings are correct.
Does the sensor really have worse characteristics in "negative axis positions"?
