BLE Pairing in Windows 8 strange issue

Hi,

we are currently debugging a strange connectivity issue with a windows 8 application.

The OS could not pair with our flashed device (running on a CC2640) yet when we use the same program and flash the cc2650EM-7id pairing works. It does not matter if it is our own code or we use the BLE Simple Peripheral project.

The funny thing is that both versions work using both projects when we connect jusing the TI Starter app on iPhone.

Anyone who know what hardware issue this can be related to or what the cause might be, feels like I'm punching in thin air right now...

Hello Daniel,

Does your custom board use the exact same antenna & front end configuration as used by the CC2650EM-7ID reference design? If not, please refer to the sticky CC2640 FAQ thread topic for poor RF range.

I have not verified this yet but the strange thing is that we have good reception from far away and both boards (EM and ours) work without any problem using the TI starter app on iphone for instance.
Do you still this can be an issue? I will verify tomorrow.
