how to know Config. or notification enabler address of a sensor

hi,

does anyone the config or notification uuid of heart rate sensor and speed and cadence sensors and battery config addess of sensortag?

how can i know them.

i can receive the data but without config. or notif. uuid, i can not enable notification and read the update value.

any suggestion or help will much appreciated please.

    Hello Usman,

    The UUIDs for adopted services can be found in the respective profile & service specifications, available on the BT SIG site, www.bluetooth.com.

    Can you explain what 'battery config addess of sensortag' of SensorTag means?

    hi jxs,
    the sensortag has 0x180F serv uuid 0x2A19 char uuid for battery serv and char  but i am unable to find the config uuid which i has to enable to receive notification.
    likely heart rate sensor has serv uuid 0x180D and char uuid 0x2A37 but whats the config uuid?
    similarly the speed and cadence has serv uuid 0x1816 and char uuid 0x2A5B but again i was unable to find the config uuid which i has to enable to receive notification?

    and yes the www.bluetooth.com provide the services and measurements uuid but not the configuration uuid.
    any help will be appreciated.

    Hi,

    The Client Characteristic Configuration descriptor always has a UUID of 0x2902 as per: 3.3.3.3 Client Characteristic Configuration in BT4.0, Vol 3, Part G - GATT specification.

    hi,

    acoording to my knowledge there are two types gatt uuid one are general and other are profile based. i tried using general like you suggest 0x2902. but it does not worked for me.

    i think i need profile specified coonfig. uuid, the series of which is in the  from  of 0xAA** without it i can not enable the notification of the sensors.

    i was only able to read the temp, humdity , optic, acceleration, data  when i enabled configuration uuid like (0x24,0x2C,0x34,0x3C,0x44, ) or (0xAA02, 0xAA22, 0xAA42, 0xAA82, ) etc. after discovering the services and characterustics for sensortag.
    but i am unable to find the simlar configuration address for battery service pf sensortag, also for heart rate, cadence and speed sensors. i have there serv and char address and i can discover them but i am unable to find the configuration address. on which i write 1 and it gives me the data values.
    could you please help me in this metter. how can i read the notification and correct data.
