Device UUID and TI base UUID

We use 16-bit UUID and the total 128-bit UUID should be with the TI base UUID: F000XXXX-0451-4000-B000-000000000000

However, the actauly device UUID is
0aede073-fa4f-2dd3-d95e-8e2f8523cee4

Why is it diferent from the TI base UUID? Are these the base UUID for the chip CC2640?

On the other hand, the 16-bit UUIDs have a mapping function to 128-bit UUID which is according to Bluetooth Core Specification Vol 3 Part F Section 3.2.1
128-bit UUID = 16-bit Attribute UUID * 2^96 + Bluetooth_Base_UUID
with Bluetooth_Base_UUID being 00000000-0000-1000-8000-00805F9B34FB

Why the base-uuid does not match this Bluetooth_Base_UUID ?

Hi Yueming,

If you would like to use 128-bit UUIDs within your custom service, you will need to setup your service to do so. If you need an example of how to do so, take a look at any of the SensorTag's services which use 128 bit UUIDs.

When you say:

Do you mean the device address? this is not the same thing UUIDs which are used for services/profiles.
