Hi,

I have designed a custom PCB which uses CC2541 SOC. I am giving a voltage input of 2.1 V to the CC2541. The various voltages that I am getting on the cc pins are:

DCOUPL: 1.87V

RBIAS: 1.27 V

DD: 2.09 V

DC: 2.09V

AVDDx, DVDDx: 2.1 V

But, the debugger is not detecting the CC2541 on the board, i.e., the LED on the debugger glows red.

I wanted to know whether there is any minimum circuit requirement for CC2541 to check that it is responding. I also probed the DD and DC pins while pressing the reset button on the debugger and can see only momentary pulses at the time of pressing the button. I have also ensured that the CC2541's ground pad is properly connected to the ground of the board.

Please help me out! I am not being able to proceed and have tried every possible solution suggested on the other forums.

Which reference design did you follow? Also, can you attach your schematic?

Hi Puja,

I just helped another guy on the forum who had mixed up DD and DC. Maybe that could be the case with your problem as well.

Hi!
Thanks for replying. My problem is solved, it was some connection error. Bit now, I am facing another problem. When I use the flash programmer to program CC2541, I start getting errors, not each time, but frequently. The errors are:

1. Hex file not verified

2. Hex file content at address 0X1B5D8 exceeds chip's 16 Kb flash size

I am trying to program the chip with the keyfobdemo program. Please help.

Both of those are symptoms of instability in either the power supply or the debug interface itself.
