Hello,

I have to develop an application for the CC2650 that sleeps for most of the time and wakeup 10 times every minutes to receive and store data and then, 1 time a day, send them with BLE.

Actually i have modified the simpleBLEPeripheral for shut down and wakeup from shutdown mode, but i dont undersand how to put the CC2650 in STANDBY mode manually and set a timer routine interrupt to activate him and get data or activate the BLE task.

Can u help me to manage the power mode please? I have already readed the Power management document but i haven't found somethings usefull to my application

After you enable POWER_SAVING on SimpleBLEPherial, it would go to sleep mode automatically when there is nothing in task queue. I only need to create a timer event to wake up CC2650 from sleeping mode to do whatever you want.

Thank you for answer,
I agree with you, but when i analyse the current consume without BLE task i see some currents peaks that indicate some others task do somethings when it is supposed to do nothing. Is there any software solutions to verify that some events happend or not?

As see in the documentation, the simpleBLEPeripheral still send advertising packets every 100ms, i'll try to do advertising only if i need to coomunicate my data.

Do you have a power analyzer? There are recharge pules during standby mode, are you sure that not what you observed?

Thank you, you're right, i forgotted the recharge pulse in my analyse, but do u think it's possible to sleep the BLE communication and star the advertising just when i need it?

Yes, you can control BLE communications from your application.

Yes, you can easily implement a GPIO button press to start the advertising event, or more advance feature based on what you need.
