Hello,

With CC2650 We are trying the RF transmission in Proprietary mode, but we face some documentation issues:
1) SWCU117E manual does not give enough information to correctly set the value in CMD_PROP_RADIO_SETUP for Symbolrate and rxBw.
2) We cannot debug the TI stack because the header isn’t public.

3) If possible can I get an example code to use into the CC2650 in Proprietary mode?

Hi Guy,

As of the latest versions of TI-RTOS there is an RF driver that is available for controlling the radio. We recommend using the RF driver interface to develop proprietary mode applications

For example, our github page contains an example of using the RF driver to achieve a BLE beacon.

Hello Guy,

Proprietary mode examples for CC2650 have not yet been released. Do you need to implement BLE phy (the link provided by Sean has an example for this) or do you need to program the device in proprietary mode upto 500kbps as described in section 23.7 in the technical reference manual?

Hi svs,

I need to implement proprietary mode for cc2650. I think that the example code linked before is a good starting point, however i noticed some preliminary issues:

1) Does the radio core require rf patches for proprietary mode (5Mbps)? if so where i can find it?

2) How to generate proper configuration data of smartrf_settings.c (pOverrides in particular)?

May you provide clarification?

Hello,

Yes, this mode needs specific patches and they have not been released yet. The implementation is similar to the 4mbps mode on CC13xx and we have an example included in the TI RTOS release (packet error rate test) for this mode. The only changes you will need is frequency, LO divider and RF mode setting to change it to 5mbps mode on CC2650. Please send me a friend request and I will try to share the settings with you.
