TI Bluetooth Stack with CMSIS RTX

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC256XSTBTBLESW

Dear All,

I am trying to implement TI Bluetooth stack (based on Bluetopia) on STM32F407 with CMSIS RTX OS. I have looked into example projects given with the stack, but is based on either FreeRTOS or no OS. I have the following queries.

  1. Is it possible to port the BT stack on to CMSIS OS?
  2. If yes, how do I get started ?
  3. I have referred the porting document which came along with the BT stack ( present in location TI\Connectivity\CC256X BT\CC256x STM32 Bluetopia SDK\v4.0.2.2\FreeRTOS\Documentation\STM32F4xx Porting.pdf), but could not get any precise information on porting. Any further documentation or references will be highly helpful.

Thanks and Regards

Jinu

  • Hi,

The CMSIS-RTOS is not one of the supported platforms for the CC256XSTBTBLESW. Only FreeRTOS and NoOS are supported.

From the CMSIS-RTOS documentation, it looks like it supports ARMCC, GCC and IAR compilers. You can find the libraries in the CC256XSTBTBLESW SDK compiled with each of these compilers. So it may be possible to use these libraries with the CMSIS-RTOS, but it has not been tested before. Is there are particular design consideration that requires you to use the CMSIS-RTOS?

    Best regards,

    Vihang
