Can an EZ430-RF2560 Bluetooth target board pair to other Bluetooth enabled devices, such as an iPhone or a USB Bluetooth receiver connected to my personal computer?

Yes,

The Ez430-RF2560 demo that we about to release has SPP (Serial Port Profile) loaded onto it. It will pair with a Bluetooth enabled laptop or PC and after the pairing a virtual serial port appears in Windows and is ready for use.

Thank you for the information! I'm still unclear if the target board can link to devices that are not running a Windows OS. I'd like to write an application for an Android or iPhone platform to prove a concept, is that possible?

Hello kpbr,

The OS does not matter. You only need to make sure that the Bluetooth(R) stack that you use on the other end supports the SPP (Serial Port Profile) profile.
