Measuring cc1350 power consumption with LunchPad

Hi All,

I asked question before about the BLE cc1350 power consumption. i read the swra478a.pdf about Measuring power consumption, it this tutorial they use the smartrf evaluation board, can i measure the power consumption using c1350 LunchPad? if yest, can i connect battery to the LunchPad?

Yes, you can measure power consumption on CC1350 launchpad. Remember to remove all the jumpers connection XDS110 to CC1350. And then you can apply power on 3V3 pin and GND.

Also please be aware that the external flash on board will introduce 5~6uA in standby.

Hi All,
I tried what you suggest, but i could't get the Current values, just the Voltage, how can i measure the Current?

Are you using DC power analyzer? Can you specify what tool are you using?

I am using Oscilloscope, Tektronix TDS 2014B.

If you don't have power analyzer, please read through the application note for doing current measurement.

Another question, which resistor i should use for the CC1350 LunchPad? did the 10 oham is also good?
